A NEW national reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime has been launched.
Report Fraud has replaced Action Fraud and provides a single gateway for reporting and intelligence.
The centre is designed to strengthen the collective response of policing, government and the private sector.
Matthew Barber, police and crime commissioner for the Thames Valley, said: “Fraud is the most common crime affecting our communities, with 14,000 residents reporting a fraud in the last 12 months.”
If you have received an unsolicited or suspicious communication – a text, email, phone call or mail, clicked into a suspicious social media account or website or have fallen victim to cyber crime or fraud, report it by calling 0300 123 2040 or visit www.reportfraud.police.uk
