East Berkshire and South Bucks continued its reputation for culinary excellence as a host of venues retained Michelin stars for 2023.
This year’s Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland has been unveiled with some familiar names once again earning recognition.
The Waterside Inn, Bray, is among the venues to retain three Michelin stars on the prestigious list.
Chef patron Alain Roux has been based at the popular riverside restaurant since 1992 and oversees a team of more than 60 who are dedicated to providing exquisite food.
The Fat Duck, in Bray High Street, also retained its three Michelin stars, ensuring the village’s status as one of the go-to destinations for fine dining.
The venue has been operating in Bray since 1995 and pledges to take diners on a ‘journey full of curiosity and discovery’.
The Hinds Head, also in Bray High Street, made the list by retaining its one Michelin star.
Marlow’s Hand and Flowers, run by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, was named on the list of venues to receive two Michelin stars in the 2023 guide.
The Coach, also owned by Kerridge and overseen by head chef Sarah Hayward, retained its one Michelin star rating.
Hayward earned special personal recognition as she won the Young Chef Award at a Michelin prizegiving ceremony this week.
TV chef Kerridge described has a 'fantastic, level-headed and focused' chef who is totally dedicated to her craft.
One newcomer to the list is Ascot-based Woven by Adam Smith which has achieved one Michelin star within six months of its launch in September.
The venue is based at Ascot’s five-star Coworth Park hotel.
Mr Smith said: “I am so happy to have reached this milestone with my driven and dedicated team, who have worked so hard and with such passion since we launched the restaurant late last year.
“For me, any accolade is so brilliant to receive but this really is a special time for us at Woven. Recognition from the Michelin Guide is a great honour.”
