Public notices: RBWM and Slough publish council tax charges for 2026/27

In this week’s public notices, the Royal Borough and Slough Borough Council (SBC) have published their council tax charges for the financial year 2026/27.

Council Tax

The Royal Borough has outlined its council tax levels across Bands A to H from Tuesday, April 1.

In Datchet, a Band D property will be charged £2,052.66 for the year, while in Eton, Band D properties will pay £1,979.25.

In Horton, the charge for a Band D will be £2,008.14 for the year, while in Old Windsor it will be £1,967.53.

A Band D property in Sunningdale will be charged £1,961.92, while in Sunninghill and Ascot it will be £1,955.34.

In Wraysbury, the Band D council tax is set for £1,975.92, while in Windsor it will be £1,936.94.

Elsewhere, Slough Borough Council (SBC) has

outlined its council tax charges for 2026/27 for its parished and unparished areas.

A Band D property in the parish of Britwell will be charged £2,472.93 for the year.

Meanwhile in the parish of Colnbrook with Poyle, Band D residents will be charged £2,458.14 and in the parish of Wexham Court it will be £2,484.31.

For the unparished areas of Slough, the Band D council tax level will be set at £2,408.64.

Road closures

The Royal Borough will be temporarily closing the northbound part of the B470 High Street in Datchet from its junction with Manor House Lane to its junction with The Avenue.

The order is to facilitate carriageway patching works and will come into force between 8pm and 11pm on Tuesday, March 17.

The alternative route for vehicles affected will be via the B470 High Street, B376 The Green, Queens Road, B470 Windsor Road and the B470 High Street.

Elsewhere, the Royal Borough has also made an order to prohibit vehicles from temporarily travelling along the entirely of the B376 Heron Lake Road in Wraysbury.

The purpose of the order is to facilitate resurfacing works on Junction 13 of the M25 and will come into operation each night between 10pm and 6am from Wednesday, March 18 until Saturday, March 21.

Licences

Slough Borough Council has also given notice of new licence fees for the one-year grant and renewal of Hackney carriage and private hire vehicles licences.

It also includes the one-year and five-year grant and renewal of private hire operator licences.
