Woman, 27, dies in hospital following M4 motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist from Slough has died following a crash on the M4 last night (Monday).

Police are appealing for witnesses after a grey Mercedes C-Class car and a green Kawasaki motorcycle collided on the westbound carriageway between junction 4 with the M25 and junction 5 at Langley.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old woman from Slough, sustained serious injuries. She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment but sadly passed away today (Tuesday). Her next of kin has been informed.

Roads policing officers attended the scene and an investigation is taking place in to the circumstances of the crash.

Investigating officer PC Victoria Jones, from Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who saw the two vehicles travelling before the collision.

“Anyone who has any information about what happened should contact police as the details could be important to the investigation.”

Call police on 101, quoting the reference 1526 5/12, with any information.
