A man has been sentenced to almost three years in prison for burglary and fraud in Slough.
Jason Reynolds, aged 43, of Burlington Road, got inside a home on The Crescent, stealing cash and credit cards on August 9 last year.
He has then attempted to make fraudulent purchases using the cards in the High Street in Slough.
Through CCTV enquiries, Reynolds was identified as the offender and he was arrested on September 26. He was charged the same day and convicted in March this year.
Reynolds pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and two counts of fraud by false representation.
He was sentenced to two years’ and 11 months’ imprisonment at a hearing at Winchester Crown Court on Thursday (May 11).
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sasha Lakovic of the Slough Priority Crime Team, said:
“I am satisfied that Reynolds has been sentenced for his crimes.
“Our investigation looked to gather evidence and CCTV to identify Reynolds who was then arrested. The overwhelming evidence led to Reynolds pleading guilty.
“We are committed to tackling burglary, which is an invasion on people’s homes, we will continue our work to investigate such crimes and take offenders such as Reynolds’ off our streets.
“We would ask members of our community to please report any suspicious activity to us.
“Together, we can continue to make our community a safe place to live, and work.”
