Police appeal after passenger suffers 'serious injuries' in A308 crash

Police have started a murder investigation after a 19-year-old was stabbed in Slough today (September 30).

Officers were called to Hampden Road at about 11.20am, as well as ambulances, who treated the victim - but he died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Two men aged 19 and 21 have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

As a result of this incident, a Section 60 order has been put in place to cover the area on the map below for a period of 24 hours.

This will give officers increased powers to carry our stop and search checks and to ensure public safety. The order can be increased at the end of the 24 hour period if there is a need to do so.

Senior investigating officer Detective Superintendent Stuart Bosley said: “Tragically, this incident has resulted in a young man losing his life.

“We are in the very early stages of our investigation and are still trying to establish the full circumstances. It’s really important that if you have any information at all that could help our investigation that you get in touch as soon as possible.

“Your information, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, could be vital to us.

“Clearly, there will be a great deal of shock and concern in the community about this. While our investigation continues, you will see an increased number of officers in the area.

"If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to approach them and ask any questions you may have.”
