A family has paid tribute to their 'cherished treasure' after Thames Valley Police officers formally identified the victim of a murder investigation in Slough.
Officers were called to Hampden Road at about 11.20am on Saturday (September 30) following a report that a man had been stabbed.
The victim who was given medical treatment but died at the scene has been named as Temur Qureshi, 19, from Slough.
Temur’s family released the following tribute to him: “Temur Qureshi was a lovely son whose love knew no bounds.
“A caring brother whose presence was a source of endless comfort and a friend to all of us where his companionship was a blessing.
“He lived his life putting others before him, leaving a trail of kindness and generosity that will be remembered forever.
“He brought endless joy into our lives. His kindness, strength and laughter will forever echo in our hearts. His presence was a radiant beacon of love, illuminating our lives with unparalleled warmth.
“He embraced life’s challenges with unwavering courage and taught us the true meaning of resilience.
“We will forever carry his memory in our hearts, a cherished treasure of love and warmth that time can never diminish.”
Five people were arrested in connection with a murder investigation.
A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with one count of murder and possession of a bladed article.
He was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, October 1 and was due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
A 21-year-old man from Slough, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife has been released with no further action for the murder.
A 19-year-old man from Slough, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a knife and possession of a class B drug has been released with no further action for the murder.
A 53-year-old man from Slough, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on bail to return on December 29.
A 40-year-old woman from Slough, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on bail to return on December 29.
