'Sparkling celebrations' kicked off the festive season in Slough last week.
A collaborative Christmas Lights switch-on event hosted by Slough BID and Asian Star Radio saw a 'dazzling array' of activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages.
The town square celebration on Friday, November 17 saw light displays and captivating performances, and organisers said the event served as a 'testament to the enduring magic of the holidays and the spirit of togetherness that united the community'.
Amidst the backdrop of shimmering lights, attendees were treated to live musical performances by a Robbie Williams Tribute Band as well as carols by Slough Philharmonic Choir.
Bollywood dancers, Slough Youth Community Soul Choir, Signature Dhol Drummers, Creative Academy, Stevoss from Love Music Hate Violence and British-Asian singer and songwriter, Navin Kundra also performed on the night.
A Santa Claus meet and greet, photo opportunities with a giant illuminated penguin, a magician and a Christmas market also featured.
Ray Siddique, managing director at Asian Star Radio said: "This celebration embodies the essence of the season and provides
an opportunity for families and friends to come together and create lasting memories in a festive atmosphere."
Slough BID manager, Clarissa Park added: "We were delighted to extend an invitation to the community to join
us for an evening of Christmas merriment and splendour."
