All children who applied for a primary school place in Slough can look forward to starting school in September.
Figures released by Slough Borough Council (SBC) revealed 85 per cent of youngsters were given their first choice school.
Eight per cent were given their second preference and three per cent their third.
A SBC spokeswoman said: “All applicants who applied on time have been offered a reception place for September 2016 and 96 per cent were offered a place at one of their preferred schools.
“Parents who could not be offered any of their preferred schools were offered the nearest school with a vacancy.”
