Man taken to hospital as firefighters rescue him from smoke-filled house

Firefighters from Slough were called to an incident at Buckland Gate in Wexham yesterday evening (Thursday).

At about 6.10pm, a firefighter entered a smoke-filled house and rescued an elderly man.

The rescue took no more than five minutes and the crew were on the scene for about an hour and a half.

The man rescued from the house was taken to Wexham Park Hospital.

There was no-one else in the home at the time.
