A dashboard video camera has caught two drivers in Slough finding their own ways to avoid traffic jams in the town.
The first clip shows a driver using the pedestrian pavement on the opposite side of the road to avoid tailbacks on London Road on Monday, May 12, filmed by a Slough commuter.
The same commuter also filmed a taxi driver mounting the curb on Blenheim Road to skip the queue and turn left onto Upton Court Road only one day before.
The video was tweeted to Slough Borough Council, and a spokeswoman said the council was ‘horrified at the blatant breaking of road laws and total disregard for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and other drivers.’
She said the council had passed on the photos and videos to the police. She also added the video of the taxi driver was forwarded to the council’s licensing team, who checked it and stripped the driver of his private hire licence the morning it was received.
