Defender Alfie Kilgour has been recalled from his successful loan spell by Bristol Rovers.
The central defender has played a key role in the Magpies revival since the turn of the year and, although Alan Devonshire's side will be confident they can retain their National League place in the coming weeks, his departure will still come as a bitter blow.
He was handed his debut in the Magpies' FA Cup first round tie against Portsmouth at York Road and went on to score his first senior goal in the side's 4-3 Boxing Day victory over Aldershot Town.
The last of his 18 appearances came in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge when he signed off in style with the equaliser in the 94th minute.
