14:51 Hello and a warm welcome to the Crabble Athletic Ground where Slough Town go head-to-head with Dover Athletic in the National League South. There was a great feeling of positivity on the coach down this morning with the Rebels optimistic of seizing another three points to continue an impressive run of form. Scott Davies' men occupy 12th in the table while the Whites sit bottom. Let's see how this match pans out considering one of Dover Athletic's two victories in the league this season was against Slough Town. Follow along for updates.
14:59 The teams are out and kick-off is moments away.
15:01 The hosts get the ball rolling - Slough Town kicking from right to left.
15:05 Early pressure from the Rebels, they're seeing a lot of the ball.
15:13 Thirteen minutes gone and no real chance of note just yet. The game has slowed down a bit with the ball not spending an awful lot of time down on the pitch.
15:18 Chance. First real effort on the 16-minute mark as Spasov makes the room to strike an effort wide of the woodwork.
15:27 The Rebels look a little bit too defensive for my liking. Dover have had a fair share of possession in the last 10 minutes and have been able to crack some shots off. Down the other end, a ball is whipped across the box by Dyce but nobody in blue is there to tap in.
15.32 Over half an hour played, no shots on target by either side. Very little to report.
15:37 First booking of the game. A yellow card is shown to Scott Davies for a risky challenge. Soon after, Ogbonna forces Jinadu to get down low and make a save.
15:41 Solid defensive work from Eweka as a loose pass is picked up by Nikaj and the ball is fed into Sutherland who could've got a shot off had it not been for the Rebels' number 16. Dover are ending this half well which has unsettled Slough a little.
15:47 Wow. How has he missed that? Nikaj sends a cross into the box with the outside of his boot, having shrugged off Dyce, and Baptiste blasts over from just yards out. Huge let off for Slough who will be happy to enter half-time now with the score 0-0.
15:50 (HALF-TIME: 0-0) We're at the break and it's been fairly woeful here at the Crabble. Changes potentially needed for Slough Town.
16:06 The second half is kicked off. We're all hoping for a more entertaining period of football. No changes made by either club it appears.
16:10 Dover have started this half how they ended the first and bodies are having to be thrown on the line to deny the hosts from taking the lead.
16:18 First change for Slough Town on the 57th minute as they bring on one of their top goalscorers in Johnny Goddard for Slavi Spasov.
16:22 Chances in the 61st minute! Ogbonna races onto a long ball from Goddard, I believe, and drags a shot narrowly wide. Straight down the other end, Sutherland finds himself one-on-one with Lincoln who tips a low shot around the post. Game livening up here with the home fans in fine voice.
16:31 First change for Dover. Oladipo replaces Wilkinson. Big lad that Dandy and Eweka will have to play close attention to.
16:35 74 minutes played and Chambers-Parillon strikes a fierce effort goalbound. Jinadu makes a good save. Ogbonna has also been sublime for the Rebels and enjoying a lot of the ball on the right flank.
16:41 Entering the final 10 minutes here. Davies comes off for Jackman. Can the Rebels skipper find the winner? He's a goalscoring defender.
16:45 GOAL! Dover Athletic take the lead in the 84th minute. Dan Lincoln spills the ball in the area, perhaps unfairly shoved, and George Nikaj prods it into the back of the net. 1-0.
16:47 Wow, a twist in the tale. Dover goalscorer Nikaj is shown a second yellow and sent off. The hosts down to 10 men. Can Slough capitalise? Five minutes of normal time to play.
16:52 Five minutes of injury time to play. Slough have time to salvage at least a point here. Lincoln is coming up for a Rebels corner.
16:58 (FULL-TIME: 1-0) Slough Town slip up to Dover Athletic, the side moving off the bottom of the National League South on GD with this win. Frustrating afternoon for the Rebels who fall into 13th. Their best man arguably David Ogbonna who tried to make things happen. George Nikaj the best player for the hosts despite his red.
