Drivers on the M4 near Slough have been warned to expect nearly an hour of delays and up to three miles of traffic following a multi-vehicle crash.
Two lanes remain closed on the westbound section of the M4, between junctions four and five, while emergency services respond to the crash.
National Highways said traffic had earlier been stopped on the affected road section and, while it was now moving again, drivers should be prepared to encounter delays.
An update on its social media said there was a ’45-minute delay on approach with three miles of congestion’ and advised road users to ‘allow extra journey time’.
Traffic England’s website said delays were up to 50 minutes and normal traffic conditions were expected to return by 7.30pm.
