Baylis Theatre, Braywick Leisure Centre
Stirring music awaits music lovers as Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra (WMSO) returns after an almost-two year gap to plays at the new Braywick Leisure Centre for the first time.
The respected orchestra is performing with the Royal Free Singers and Maidenhead Choral Society and Dedworth Middle School Children’s Choir.
The orchestra announced: “O Fortuna from Carmina Burana is surely one of the most famous and often heard pieces of 20th century music – from the X factor judges’ theme to Old Spice adverts and Hollywood movies. Come and hear the whole of Carl Orff’s powerful and popular cantata, with full chorus, children’s choir, three soloists and the large symphony orchestra.”
The second part of the programme is Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé Suite No. 2.
