The first of 63 metal markers set to be installed in Windsor to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II becoming Britain's longest reigning monarch has been unveiled this afternoon.
The Outdoor Trust has designed the Queen's Walkway, which will see markers placed along a 6.37km route around the town to represent the length of Her Majesty's reign.
She will overtake Queen Victoria's record of 63 years, seven months and two days on September 9 this year.
This afternoon Admiral Sir James Perowne, the Governor of Windsor Castle, revealed the first marker outside Windsor Castle's Henry VIII Gate.
See next week's Express for an update on the walkway plans.
