Desborough’s mens and women’s teams were both victorious in National Competitions this week.
The men eased to a convincing 82-51 victory over county rivals West Berks in the Denny Cup with telling contributions coming from each of their rinks.
They’ll play Westlecot in the next round.
There was a similarly strong display for the women against a strong Whiteknights side in the Yetton Trophy.
Desborough won 78-59 and advance to play Handy Cross in the next round on Saturday, November 20.
At Green Lane, Desborough snatched a narrow 109-96 victory over Herga IBC in a six-rink triples match this week.
The sides shook on an honourable draw, after the rinks were shared, however, the rink of Chris Howard, Bob Forster and Sam Stack saw the hosts edge it on points. Brian Faulkner and John Munnelly also skipped their teams to rink wins.
