Burnham have announced the appointment of Ben Murray as first team manager with Kavi Luchowa coming on board as his assistant.
The Blues tweeted news of his appointment this afternoon and said Murray would be a ‘great fit for the club’s ambitions, bringing a wealth of experience from his time as Ashford Town, Northwood and Farnham.
Murray will become the Blues third manager this season after Manny Williams and Ash James.
His first game in charge will be Saturday’s local derby with Holyport at The Gore.
It follows Manny Williams departure as player manager last week after short stint in charge of the Blues.
Having taken over from former captain Ash James, Williams helped lead the Blues away from the lower reaches of the table, however, he left the club last week after that momentum was checked by a couple of heavy defeats.
The Blues are 13th in the table following Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat to Wokingham & Emmbrook, just six points above second from bottom Holyport.
They beat Holyport 3-0 away at Summerleaze Park back in November and will be hoping for a similar result this weekend.
