Live racing and countryside entertainment as Berkshire Winter Millions returns

Racing and countryside entertainment is on offer at racecourses across Windsor and Ascot this weekend.

The Berkshire Winter Million is back for 2026 and will showcase elite jump racing in partnership with Ascot Racecourse and a total £1.25million prize pot.

It has attracted figures from the world of sport, including trainer Dan Skelton and jockey Nico de Boinville.

The headline races from the weekend include the Fitzdares Sovereign Hurdle on Friday at Windsor Racecourse the MGM Clarence House on Saturday at Ascot Racecourse and the Fitzdares Fleur de Lys Chase at Windsor Racecourse on Sunday.

As well as the racing, visitors will enjoy a ‘full countryside celebration’ with entertainment.

There will be live music across the weekend, as well as interactive activations providing opportunities to learn more about racing.

Alan Johns TV is broadcasting across today (Friday) and Sunday, bringing live interviews and behind-the-scenes insights from trainers, jockeys, owners, racegoers and more.

Some of the highlights of the festival include appearances from the Vine and Craven Hunt, bringing live music and hounds from Sugar and Sax, as well as Golden Ticket giveaways throughout the weekend.

On Sunday, guests will be treated to Sam Draycott’s farrier demonstrations, pony rides, face painting, caricaturist portraits and glitter tattoos.

An ex-racehorse parade from HEROS, the charity retrains and rehomes former racehorses, will also take place.

Guests will also be treated to a variety of market stalls, providing an action-packed day for racegoers of all ages, with under 18s going for free.

Members of the Windsor Full Ceremonial Light Cavalry was be situated at key points around the course, including at entrances and the Winners’ Enclosure, offering a ceremonial presence and photo opportunities.

Tickets cost £40 for all three days and £30 for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
