Maidenhead United issued a statement from chairman Peter Griffin last week outlining the benefits of the club’s 2024/25 gold and silver membership packages.

The Magpies are looking forward to their eighth consecutive season in the National League, having collected 10 points from their final five matches to ensure survival at the end of last season.

However, while they’ve become a fixture at the highest level of non-league football in the past decade, Mr Griffin admits it’s becoming increasingly tough for a club of Maidenhead’s size and financial strength to compete.

He’s therefore encouraging fans to throw their support behind the club by purchasing one of the membership packages, and there are payment plans in place for those considering an ‘Early Bird Gold Membership’.

The benefits of a gold membership include:

- 2024/25 season ticket providing entry to 23 home league matches.

- Access to women’s home league matches.

- Reserved seat in the Main Stand (for those who purchase a seated ticket only).

- Exclusive access to a behind closed doors training session and post training Q&A session with the players and management team.

- Receipt of exclusive offers during the course of the season – the first offer being to bring a friend for free to the first home league game of the season.

The full details and costs of the various memberships – purchased both before and after the early bird deadline - can be found here.

The new payment plan will allow supporters to split their payments across the season to make it more affordable. From this season the gold and silver memberships will also be digital, however, those wishing to receive a physical copy of their membership can do so for an additional £5 charge.

The Early Bird discounts are available until July 28 and there are two dates when fans can purchase memberships in person. These are on Tuesday, June 25, from the club’s newly refurbished Stripes Sports Bar, and on Wednesday, July 24, before the club’s pre-season fixture against West Ham United’s u21s.

In his statement, Mr Griffin said: “I hope you are enjoying some time away from National League football after an exciting and successful end to last season. With 10 points out of a possible fifteen in our last five games, we were able to confirm another season of National League football.

“This successful end of the season coincided with our inaugural CALM Charity All-Stars Match held at York Road. It was a fantastic day with over £7,400 raised to help support the vital work they do.

“While the club want to be ambitious and finish as high as possible, survival is still a huge achievement for a part time club in an increasingly tough National League. We now look forward to our eighth year at this level and need your support more than ever.

“We want to remain a prominent part of the community and make attending matches at York Road as accessible as possible. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the introduction of a payment plan available for those purchasing Early Bird Gold Memberships. Due to the current economic climate, we are hoping that the introduction of a payment plan will allow fans to continue to generate a magnificent atmosphere at York Road at an affordable price.

“Thank you in advance for your support, it means a great deal to us. I look forward to seeing you soon and enjoy your summer break.”
