Ryan Robinson is to take over as the manager of Maidenhead United’s Women’s Development team.
Ryan is stepping up to replace the departing Niall Irwin who has played a key role in developing the development team and women’s first team with Ed Jackson-Norris over the past couple of seasons.
Niall and his partner Lauren are moving to the south coast so he can no longer manage the side, however, his contributions over the past few seasons will not be overlooked.
The club’s website said: “Niall has been involved with Maidenhead United for a number of years now, first with the Youth Team set up under Aaron O’Brien and more recently with Maidenhead United Women’s FC.
“It is no exaggeration to say that without Niall’s tenacity and commitment in the summer of 2022 MUWFC may well have struggled to continue into the thriving set up we now have two short years later.”
On replacing Niall, and hopefully continuing his good work, Ryan said: “It is a massive privilege for me personally to be taking charge of this amazing group of players and I just can’t wait to get started.”
It is also not too late to put your name down for pre-season trials with Maidenhead United Women, with both the first team and development team looking to recruit new players and strengthen ahead of next season.
