Robert Austen
A key figure in the Wargrave community has been named on the New Year Honours list.
Robert Austen receives an MBE for services to the community in the village.
He is a trustee of the Piggott Trust, and has also been involved in several community organisations in Wargrave and the surrounding areas. He was also chairman of Wargrave Women and Girls Football Club.
Also receiving an MBE is Martin Coombs, from Maidenhead, for public service.
Martin is the chief operating officer in the chief digital and information officer group at HM Revenue & Customs.
In Stoke Poges, Saera Carter receives a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the community in the South Bucks village. Saera is vice chair of Stoke Poges Parish Council.
Also in Stoke Poges, Geoffrey Taylor receives an MBE for services to music.
Geoffrey is chief executive of the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), which oversees the BRIT Awards and the Mercury Prize.
Maidenhead resident Peter Oxbrow is also on the list, receiving a British Empire Medal for services to the neighbouring High Wycombe community.
