An award-winning trumpet player is among an exciting line-up of artists set to perform at a Maidenhead music venue this autumn.
Dawkes Music has unveiled its line-up of events, which will see guests enjoy some of London and New York’s ‘most sought-after musicians’ live in the 80-seater venue.
The business looks to bring live music and create a community space ‘filled with fun and laughter to Maidenhead’.
This autumn, Dawkes favourites Andrew Bourn, Rob Castell and Andy Mears will return with jazz classics.
The venue will also host its previously sold-out Comedy Night on Thursday, September 25, featuring four stalwarts of the international comedy circuit.
There will also be Indian street food from Bombayish to enjoy.
Bringing the autumn events to a close will be female band leader, recent recipient of the Next Jazz Legacy Award and former BBC Young Musician Jazz Artist winner Alexandra Ridout.
Alexandra is a trumpet player who moves between London and New York and has performed at a number of jazz festival across the globe, including Montreux, Love Supreme and Guimaraes.
For her performance on Sunday, November 16, she will be accompanied by her band including Yvonne Rogers on piano, Simón Willson on double bass and David Sirkis on drums

The shop in Reform Road underwent a major refurbishment in 2024 and now features a stage and a jazz club-style seating arrangement for concerts, gigs and talks.
The venue also features a permanent on-site bar with a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Jonathan Dawkes, managing director, said: “Helping live music happen is why we do what we do in the shop; selling new instruments and repairing old ones.
“So it really made sense to us to provide another live music venue in Berkshire.
“We are very excited to be hosting some old friends and new ones and to bring a bit of that jazz club vibe to Maidenhead.”
