Desborough's Men defeat Loddon Vale on all four rinks in Denny Cup

The National Competitions are underway for the season and Desborough’s Men took on Loddon Vale in the Denny Cup.

Due to a major competition taking place at Green Lane, Desborough played all four of their rinks at Basingstoke, however, home comforts weren’t needed as they won on all of the rinks.

A special mention must go to the rink skipped by Mark Peachey who trailed at one stage but 23 unanswered points meant they coasted to a 30-10 victory.

Desborough now play Chawton Park in the next round.

Desborough travelled to Whiteknights in the Top Club competition, a mixed event for both men and women.

Although Andrew Essex and Jenny Morgan won their respective 2 Wood Singles and Julie Skelly teamed up with Mark Essex to win the Pairs, the game ended up 8 points apiece which saw Desborough lose by just three shots overall, 82 – 85.
