Pictured: Residents spot possible 'Banksy' artwork on Wednesday, November 12.
A new piece of street art believed to have appeared in Windsor overnight has sparked speculation among residents that world-renowned graffiti artist Banksy may be responsible.
The silhouette of a Royal guard brandishing a can of spray paint features alongside the red stencilled words 'God save the Kingdom', with the suffix '-dom' written in black graffiti.
Residents have been spotted taking photos with the artwork located on the wall of Ward Royal on Charles Street, opposite the Windsor Yards multi-storey car park, formerly known as King Edward Court, today (Wednesday).
Although the creator of this 'latest tourist attraction' is unknown, several Facebook posts have speculated about the artist's identity.
Windsor MP Jack Rankin shared a photo along with the caption: "Loads of you have sent me this today on Ward Royal. Do we think it’s a Banksy?! Do people like it?"
Meanwhile, Lib Dem ward councillor for Eton and Castle, Cllr Mark Wilson, said in a statement: "This has appeared today in Windsor to much interest and excitement - is it genuine or not, and is it art or graffiti?
"Certainly, I’ll be keeping my graffiti kit away from it. While I was there, several people took photos, and one commented, “It’s the latest tourist attraction.
"So I’m keeping an eye on Banksy’s Instagram."
