We don’t have any runner’s at Windsor this evening. Although we had a good weekend with a treble on Saturday and the team is looking forward to Glorious Goodwood this week.
It is worth noting that Clive Cox’s Tis Marvellous won a Group 2 in France on Sunday, which previously won a maiden at Windsor earlier in the month. Maiden race’s at Windsor can be really competitive and can throw up some exciting graduates. Therefore, in the first Grey Gallon of Clive’s is my pick. It finished fourth on its only outing two weeks ago at Windsor and should certainly improve for the experience.
The second is another maiden race over six furlongs. Evergate trained by Hugo Palmer showed promise on his first two starts but was a bit disappointing on his last run. However, he is well drawn and has got the experience so I feel he is worth giving another chance.
In the third, Inclination, again from the Clive Cox stable seems to be in good form and always feel these sprinters are worth backing when in form before the handicapper catches up with them.
Roger Charlton’s stable is going very well and I like Chester Street in the fourth race. He is ridden by George Baker who is a very intelligent jockey and I feel this combination will get the job done this evening.
I tipped Prendergast Hill here at Windsor a couple of weeks ago, who duly obliged, and I am going to do so again in the fifth race. His trainer Ed de Giles does well at Windsor and I feel they should keep delivering tonight.
In the last race Song And Dance Man of Jane Chapple-Hyams had a disappointing last run out on the all-weather, but prior to that he had been running well and the switch back to turf should suit.
Have a great Monday night.
Andrew.
