MAGGIE’S Christmas artisan market returns to the Coaching Barn at Little Stoke, Manor Farm, near Wallingford, on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29.
On the Thursday, there is a fair preview from 6pm to 9.30pm with drinks and canapés (cost £30). There will be jazz music from pianist Francis Rockcliffe. On the Friday, the market is open from 10am to 4pm, with all-day shopping and a lunch (£5 entry, lunch and drinks available at extra cost).
There is an 11am talk by Clare Foster and Andrew Montgomery on their new book, Pastoral Gardens, a 12.30pm talk by sculptor and sundial maker David Harber about his work, a 2pm talk by Kate Humble with Clare Foster about Kate’s new book, Home Made, and a 3pm talk by Rachel de Thame about her book, A Flower Garden for Pollinators (the David Harber talk is free, the other talks cost £20 each, tea and coffee and fair entry included). Maggie’s provides free support to people with cancer and their families, with centres based at NHS cancer hospitals in the UK.
