Djembe drumming is one of the activities available.
Children of all ages and their families will be able to learn some new skills at a series of one-hour workshops at Norden Farm this Easter.
Explore Day is on Good Friday – April 18 – from 9.30am. Workshops are for ages 5–7 years, 8–10 years, 11+ years and for families.
Workshops for specific age ranges are designed for children to attend on their own. Family Workshops are for children and adults to get creative together.
Circus Skills
For 11-year-olds or older – gives youngsters the chance to try tightrope walking, giant ball walking, unicycling and juggling.
Art – The World of Comics
For families – learn how to design and build your own pair of working X-Ray Spex under the expert guidance of James from Comic Club.
Become the Magician’s Assistant
For 8- to 10-year-olds – join Mark’s Magic Mayhem for a sneak peek into the art of magic and conjuring.
Djembe Drumming
For 5- to 7-year-olds – play traditional songs on an authentic djembe drum in a huge drum circle. Led by Mandinka Roots and renowned percussionist and educator, Oumar Alex Sagna from Senegal.
Other activities
Street Dance, Digital Animation, Make and Decorate Chocolate Eggs and Lollies, Ceramic Animal Coil Pots, Silkscreen Tote Bags, Ukulele and Special Effects Makeup.
There is also Creative Play and Music & Movement for pre-schoolers.
In addition, the Café Bar is open from 9am serving hot drinks, hot food, lunch and snacks. Children’s grab bag packed lunches can be pre-ordered.
Explore Day is on April 18 from 9.30am. Workshops are £4.50 per person or buy a pass – four workshops for £16 per person.
