NORTHEND Concerts return next year, starting with Portuguese guitarist Gonçalo Maia Caetano on Sunday, January 25.
The award-winning classical musician has toured Europe including King’s Place in London and Wiener Saal in Salzburg.
For “Caprichos!”, he will be playing music from baroque to romantic and contemporary works. The programme includes Weiss’s Overture in Bb major, Takemitsu’s All in Twilight, Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Caprichos De Goya, Brett Dean’s Caprichos de Goya, Barrios-Mangoré’s Mazurka Appassionata, Regondi’s Introduction and Caprice and Sergio Assad’s Aquarelle.
Then on Sunday, February 22, the Neruda String Quartet will return, with music by Haydn, Puccini and Debussy.
