GARSINGTON Opera Adult Company will present Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, on Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8.
The comic one-act opera follows the court case of Angelina and Edwin, who are in court after she claims he has broken his promise to marry her.
Meanwhile, Garsington Opera’s 2026 season runs from May 27 to July 25.
First up is Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata, running from May 27 to July 24.
This is the tragic story of young Violetta, who has the chance to find true love, but she and her lover are torn apart by forces beyond her control.
Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier returns from May 28 to June 29.
The story follows the Marschallin and her lover Octavian, as they become embroiled in farce.
Il Ritorno D’Ulisse, by Claudio Monteverdi, runs from June 12 to July 25.
Ulisse returns to Ithaca after the Trojan War to his faithful wife, Penelope, but challenges arise.
Running from July 10 to July 23 is Gerald Barry’s adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s comedy of errors, The Importance of Being Earnest.
