As it happens: Slough Town vs Worthing

FULL-TIME: Slough Town 1, Worthing 2

Brad Dolaghan's second half brace wins it for the visitors after Makowski had headed Slough in front early on.

90' CHANCE! Worthing have defended these past few minutes well. But Jefferies has just saved well at the feet of Drakes-Thomas! 1-2

90' Davies hits a really poor crossfield ball to Ojemen which Jenks intercepts and Oshilaja brings him down. The Slough player manager should just have hit that free kick long into the Worthing box 1-2

90' Six minutes of stoppage time here.

90' CHANCE! Ojemen blazes a good chance for Slough over the bar after Davies had swept a cross into the box and it was headed out to him. 1-2

88' Two minutes to go and Slough have another corner here. They've battled back well to be fair and are finishing this game on the front foot. 1-2

85' Nearly a half chance for Slough as Roth's header from Myers' cross from the left is cleared under pressure from Worthing. 1-2 - Holness has replaced Harvey Walker for the home side.

84' Shot from Spong from the edge of the box is saved by Desbois. 1-2

82' The corner is sent into the middle and Ojemen tries a bicycle kick in there, but Worthing are able to clear. 1-2

81' The Rebels force a corner through Myers. It's whipped in and Jefferies punches away under pressure. Slough have just under 10 minutes to salvage something here. They've forced another corner through Makowski. 1-2

79' Slough look a beaten side now. Worthing pouring forward at every opportunity looking for a third goal. Dolaghan forces a corner. 1-2

76' Goal. Worthing. Brad Dolaghan. Slough Town 1, Worthing 2

A second goal for the visitors and a second goal for Dolaghan. That was almost a carbon copy of their first goal. The ball was swept in from the right and Dolaghan has time to take a touch before firing past Desbois. The Rebels were cut apart there. Dolaghan has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season!

73' Shakpoke and Goddard are replaced by Ojemen and Drakes-Thomas for the Rebels

72' Another huge chance for Dolaghan. Spong floats the ball in, it's headed back across where Dolaghan looked likely to knock it past Desbois, but the Worthing forward misses his kick and the chance goes begging. 1-1

71' Huge appeals for a penalty as Slough players go down in the area trying to get on the end of a cross. But the referee wasn't in the least bit interested. Hard to see what happened from over here but those fans behind the goal were pretty sure!

68' Goal Worthing! Brad Dolaghan. Slough Town 1, Worthing 1

In fairness to the visitors, that goal had been coming. They work the ball well down the right and send in a low cross that Slough can't clear and Dolaghan had plenty of time and space to sweep a shot past Desbois! 1-1

Attendance: 692

67' Goddard is rightly booked after a messy challenge in the middle of his own half. Moments later, Teddy Jenks sends a low shot just wide for Worthing. 1-0

65' Couple of half chances for Slough. First  Makowski gets onto a ball from Shakpoke and sort of flicks a shot with the outside of his foot narrowly wide. The ball is then headed out for Bougnis who takes aim from the egde of the area but he slices the shot wide. 1-0

64' Tyrique Clarke is replaced by Ansu Janneh for Slough

You sense the visitors have woken up here, but they'll have to watch the Rebels on the break! 1-0

60' CHANCES! Worthing should be level. They've just missed two huge chances. The first - after a bad mistake from Davies - led to a chance for Odokonyero that Desbois managed to smother and take the pace off. Then, the hosts presented another chance from close range to Dolaghan but he fired straight at the keeper. Incredible stuff from Desbois but we should be level here. 1-0

58' Oshilaja shields the ball out of play under pressure. he's defended very well today so far. No real chances of note in the half so far. 1-0

Maidenhead have fallen behind against Dagenham at Victoria Road.

56' Another stoppage following a clash of heads. Shakpoke and Cook down getting treatment. Both sitting up now so hopefully can continue. 1-0

54' Worthing whip in a decent cross from the left and Colbran heads over the bar unmarked, but the defender had strayed offside and the flag is up. 1-0

52' Slough's backline is being kept busy, but they're not being stretched as such. Davies has just made a couple of routine clearances. 1-0

Worthing so far haven't been able to change the rhythm of this match. 1-0

48' After Spong clips a decent ball into the box for Worthing, Slough break quickly through Myers. He does brilliantly to keep the ball in, beat his man and pull the ball back for Clarke, but the midfielder scoops his effort over the bar. Good chance to make it 2-0 there. 1-0

Back underway at Arbour Park. The Rebels looking to protect or add to their 1-0 lead.

Worthing make their way back onto the field with the Rebels following them out of the tunnel. Some changes expected from the visitors it seems.

Elsewhere in the National League South this afternoon, Maidenhead United are currently drawing 0-0 away at Dagenham & Redbridge. You feel it's crucial the Magpies pick up a result of some kind, or at least give a better performance after the anger shown by fans towards the players at Leamington last weekend

You would expect Slough will need another goal at least to win this game. Worthing haven't played well but they are a decent side and have won their past seven matches in all competitions. You'd expect them to step things up in the second half.

Half-Time: Slough Town 1, Worthing 0

The Rebels deservedly ahead thanks to Makowski's well-directed header that bounced in off the post in the fifth minute. Worthing have seen plenty of the ball without doing much with it and Slough might have added to their advantage through Makowski or Clarke.

45' Yellow for De-Graft after a late challenge on Oshilaja. 1-0

44' Worthing have struggled to make a real impact here, apart from a purple patch in the  middle of the  half. Cox has just sent in a cross from the left that De-Graft heads tamely wide. 1-0

40' Myers sends a swerving effort just wide of the far post after an excellent move involving Clarke, Bougnis, Goddard and Makowski. Flowing stuff from the home side. 1-0

35' While Slough are quick on the break, they're also pretty fast at getting back and snuffing out dangerous breaks from Worthing. Jared Myers has  just done  this brilliantly. They're working hard to limit Worthing at the moment which is a positive sign. 1-0

- I'd like to see how effective  Tarik Gidaree could be coming back into this side, bombing down the right from full back

32' Worthing are now starting to dominate the ball and possession. The Rebels increasingly find themselves backpedalling but the  visitors haven't created too many clear cut chances, despite having the better of the last 10 minutes. 1-0

31' Joel Colbran is played in behind the Rebels defence. He races into the area on the right but Adam Desbois saves his low shot and pushes it behind for a corner kick. 1-0

30' Sorry, my computer chose a great time to shut down and perform an overly long update!

In the meantime, Worthing have been working their way back into the game after falling behind to Makowski's goal. But Slough are generally defending pretty well and have looked a threat on the break. In fact the best chance since the goal has fallen to the Rebels with Makowski and Clarke both denied by the Worthing keeper Josh Jefferies. It remains 1-0

10' First chance for Worthing. George Cox nearly gets to the ball ahead of Desbois after Dan Roth made a mess of trying to control the ball and get it back to his goalkeeper. 1-0

Slough deservedly ahead here. They've pressed their visitors well in the opening eight minutes and they look more solid at the back than they've done in recent months.

5' GOALL! Wiktor Makowski (Slough Town 1, Worthing 0)

Johnny Goddard sent in a dangerous cross from the right and Makowski directed a brilliant header in off the post. It took an age to bounce along the line and go in but it's 1-0 to the Rebels!

3' Myers forces a corner after whipping in a dangerous cross. Shakpoke did well to hold the ball up and bring Myers into play. 0-0

1' Worthing kick this game underway. Makowski partnering Skakpoke in attack for the Rebels. Dan Roth returns to the starting line up in defence. The on loan Jacob Bourgnis is in central midfield. 0-0

The players are out at a rather sparse Arbour Park. Not surprising really given the awful conditions.

Have a read of Scott Davies' thoughts on his side's recent form, and today's game against Worthing

Interestingly, Worthing's last defeat in the league came at Slough's near neighbours Maidenhead United back on October 4. Since then Worthing have been in incredible form and the Magpies have been in dreadful form.

Visitors Worthing are as follows:

Here's how the Rebels line up at Arbour Park. Ruben Shakpoke retains his place in the starting line up after scoring the opener in Tuesday's win over Farnborough

Slough Town welcome highflying Worthing to Arbour Park this afternoon hoping to build on Tuesday's encouraging 2-0 win over Farnborough. That was the Rebels first win in five league matches - all of them defeats - and it lifted to within a point of safety at the bottom of the National League South.

Scott Davies side have though produced three impressive displays in their last three outings, defeating Beaconsfield Town 8-0 in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup before bowing out to Gloucester City in the FA Trophy on penalties despite dominating that clash.

There are no such issues for Worthing who've been in excellent form of late. They've won their last seven matches in all competitions and their last three matches by 4-0 scorelines.
