IT is gratifying to record that Ivy Hooper, who was a pupil and later on a teacher in the Henley Girls National School, has passed the Board of Education Certificate Examination with distinction in hygiene and physical training, advanced credit in music and credit in needlework. Lily Love, who was also a pupil and teacher in the same school, has also been successful.
Note even the most unpropitious of evenings from a weather point of view could prevent a large attendance at the opening of the new session of the Henley Literary Society at the Congregational Hall on Thursday week. A large number of members were enrolled and prospects of a record session are certainly bright.
