MAYOR Tom Buckley lifted the spirits of councillors at the town and community committee meeting on Tuesday last week when speaking of the Christmas Festival, which takes place tonight (Friday).
Councillor Kellie Hinton said she was reminded by her kids as she had “completely forgotten about it”.
To which Tom jokingly replied saying how could she forget when it was he, “Tom” and “Jerry”, actress Jerry Hall, switching on the lights of the Christmas tree.
This was a reference to the animated short films featuring a Tom cat and Jerry mouse.
