CHARGES at three car parks in Henley are set to rise by five per cent by April 1.
Prices will rise by a minimum of 10 pence at Southfields, off Goodall Close, Greys Road and King’s Road car parks, which are owned by South Oxfordshire District Council.
The council said this was roughly in line with inflation and appropriate given the cost-of-living crisis and is expected to rise an extra £50,000 a year.
The changes mean the cost of parking for two hours would cost £2.30, up from £2.20, that three hours of parking would cost £3.50, up from £3.30, and that five hours of parking would cost £5.30, up from £5.
The cost of permits will also be reduced, with the reduction for permits increasing from
40 per cent to 50 per cent.
