LIVE: Dorking Wanderers vs Maidenhead United

Good evening,

Maidenhead United will be looking to bounce back this evening following the weekend's disappointing defeat to Farnborough.

But in Dorking Wanderers, the Magpies face a tricky test. Marc White's side saw off title hopefuls Torquay United here at the weekend and the Wanderers have promotion aspirations of their own.

An important 90 minutes in leafy Surrey awaits.

Full time: It finishes 1-0 to the hosts. A frustrating night for the Magpies. They battled away but just couldn't break down a resolute Wanderers side. Tonight shows the fine margins in this competitive National League South division.

'85: Five to go and it's all got a bit stop-start. Sam Barratt wriggles free in the middle of the park, strides forward and sends an effort low towards goal but it's straight down the goalkeeper's throat.

'80: Into the last 10 minutes. Corie Andrews is on for Kane Ferdinand.

'74: Kai Yearn is on to replace Asher Yearwood for the Magpies.

'68: Asher Yearwood fires a one-two into Mitchell-Lawson but the return ball is agonisingly long. Pressure growing for the Magpies.

'62: Huge chance and it comes from another long throw. The ball drops to Kane Ferdinand in A1 position but he drags his shot wide. That was the opportunity the visitors have been waiting for.

'61: There's been no shortage of effort this evening from the Magpies. But as time ticks away, they're yet to truly test Dorking stopper Harrison Foulkes.

'57: Chance for the hosts. Vincent pops up on the right and sends an in-swinging cross into the Magpies box but it evades a stooping Alfie Rutherford.

'50: Liam Dulson is having to work hard leading the line on his own. He finds space and drives towards the edge of the penalty area but fires harmlessly wide.

Back underway. It looks like that heavy knock just before the half has ended Josh Popoola's evening. He's replaced by Jayden Mitchell-Lawson.

'45: Three added minutes here at Meadowbank. Dorking come close to a second after great work from Jimmy Muitt who outbattles Kane Ferdinand before squaring for Vincent who fires wide. And that's half-time.

'40: Bit of an injury worry for the Magpies as Josh Popoola takes a knock while committing a foul near the Magpies corner flag. He's back on for now but moving slightly gingerly.

'36: Maidenhead are nearly undone by a quick counter by Dorking. Vincent shifts it past his defender but sees his effort blocked.

'34: Matt Robinson and Josh Popoola combine with some neat interplay and manage to find Liam Dulson. But he can't find that crucial half yard to get his shot off.

'30: The press area here at Dorking is opposite to the dugouts but you can still here both managers loud and clear. It could be a long evening for the fourth official.

'28: Appeals for a Magpies penalty. Josh Popoola cuts in from the left, drills a shot goalwards and it looks to have struck a defender's arm. The ball was travelling and you suspect the referee would argue his hand was in a natural position.

'25: A miscued Dorking clearance falls to Asher Yearwood. He shifts the ball but sees his shot blocked. Good chance.

'22: Dorking have their tails up. Dennon Lewis surges into the penalty area but his cut back is cleared. Dangerous.

'20: Goal. Dorking Wanderers 1-0 Maidenhead United. The hosts are in front. Frank Vincent sends in a devillish cross and Brennan Camp arrives at the back post to turn it home.

'16: Maidenhead have started well. Their best moments so far have come from dead balls with Sam Barratt knocking a few deep free-kicks into the Dorking area.

'9: Stoppage in plays as two Dorking players collide going for the ball by the dugouts. Barratt once again unwinds a throw. This could be a feature of this evening...

'5: Sam Barratt propels his first long throw of the evening into the Wanderers area. It feels that bit more exciting now they're in vogue. It comes to nothing though.

The teams are out to the sound of 'Ain't no stopping us now' on the sound system. Boss Alan Alan Devonshire will be hoping McFadden and Whitehead's classic tune doesn't ring true this evening.

It's a big night for the Magpies who put on a disappointing showing at Farnborough on Saturday. They'll need to improve to get anything from the Wanderers who saw off title hopefuls Torquay United at the weekend.
