Maidenhead United has announced boss Alan Devonshire will be stepping down from his position.
The 69-year-old will take charge of the club’s next two fixtures against Salisbury City and Chippenham Town before leaving after the final whistle on Saturday, November 29.
Assistant boss Ryan Peters will become interim manager of the men’s first team with Aaron O’Brien becoming assistant manager.
Chairman Peter Griffin said: “Dev’s contribution to Maidenhead United has simply been amazing, overseeing the most successful period of the club’s history, for which we will always be grateful.
“I hope our fantastic supporters will come together on Saturday to give Dev the send-off he deserves.”
Devonshire’s departure marks the end of a decade-long spell in charge which saw him win promotion to the National League and keep the Magpies at the top of the non-league pyramid for eight seasons.
Few supporters will forget the party atmosphere as Devonshire’s side won the National League South title on the final day of the 2015/16 season with a 3-0 victory over Margate.
Many memorable moments would follow in the National League as Maidenhead continually upset some of the division’s so called bigger names – including a 3-2 scalp of Wrexham as their Hollywood owners watched on the first time.
The Magpies’ stay in the division finally came to an end on the final day of last season, though, as they were relegated despite a 3-0 victory over Boston United at York Road.
A six-game winning streak left supporters optimistic that the club could compete for an immediate return to the National League.
But the club have since endured a torrid run of eight winless games which left frustrations bubbling over among supporters after a 2-0 defeat at National League North Leamington in the FA Trophy.
Devonshire informed the club he would be ending his 10-year stay at York Road on Sunday following another narrow defeat away at Dagenham and Redbridge.
