HENLEY Hawks have appointed Chris Cracknell as part of their coaching team.
Cracknell, who is taking on the role of defence coach, brings with him a wealth of experience having had 20 years in the game, both as a professional player and as an accomplished coach.
As a player, Cracknell represented top clubs including Cornish Pirates, Exeter Chiefs, Bath and Worcester Warriors. He also wore the England shirt on the world stage, competing in both the Rugby Sevens World Cups and Commonwealth Games.
In the latter part of his career, Cracknell transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of assistant coach for Fiji alongside Ben Ryan in an era that delivered success and world titles.
More recently, Cracknell showcased his leadership as head coach of Belgium. Cracknell returns to the area having studied at Shiplake College.
