Police call for witnesses of 'severe' Stoke Poges arson

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an arson in Stoke Poges that caused 'severe damage'.

At around 11.55pm on Friday, February 3, two offenders gained entry to a construction yard in Hollybush Hill via the main road.

They lit three separate fires across the yard, causing severe damage to an outhouse/office, a plant machinery digger and a Ford Transit van. No one was injured.

One of the offenders is described as a white man, of large build and wearing a black North Face hooded jacket, navy blue Nike joggers, black Nike Air Force trainers and a black balaclava. Due to the spark from the flames, he may have sustained burns to his hands.

The other offender is described as wearing a black rain jacket, a black hoody and black trousers.

They are believed to have travelled to the location in a white Peugeot Boxer van.

PC Heather Gray said: “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about this offence to please come forward.

“Fortunately, nobody was injured by the fire; however, this took place in a residential area so it could have been even worse, although the damage to the yard is significant.

“If you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
