Organisers gear up for first ever Windsor & Eton Pride on Saturday

06:20PM, Tuesday 22 July 2025

Organisers are gearing up to host a memorable Windsor & Eton Pride on Saturday – complete with a parade, several live entertainers and a Pride village.

The team behind the event have spent the last year organising the extravaganza, which celebrates diversity and empowers all local LGBTQIA+ and ally communities.

The event’s Pride March will kick off from 11.45am on The Long Walk.

Participants are asked to meet on The Long Walk at 10.30am where they will be assigned a group leader and placed in parade order.

Flags will be waved as they make their way down to the main festival site in Alexandra Gardens in Windsor where the fun will kick off from noon.

The main bandstand stage will feature an action-packed line-up – including a Chappell Roan tribute band.

Drag Race UK’s Just May will be making an appearance and Lisa Marie will be belting out tunes as Adele.

Other highlights from the main stage will include Grace Anatomy, Euphoria, Echo Wright, Love2Sing Choir, the Dani Harmer Academy and Solero Summers.

To boost accessibility to the event, the Windsor & Eton Pride team have organised live captioning of the main stage to take place.

Over on the Indie Rabble Rousers Stage the likes of the Country Chicks, HayLee Tree, Tara Deane, the Thames Valley Gay Chorus Rock Choir and the Windsor Ukulele Band will be entertaining crowds.

There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy, with several bars on offer, including the Indie Rabble Brewing Company, Hop On Inn, the Two Flints, Fizz on Wheels Mobile Bar, A Hoppy Place, Windsor & Eton Brewery, Queer Brewing, and Bubble Pops alcohol free bar.

The Fudge Kitchen will be serving up some delicious treats, alongside Naan and Sizzle, and Surrey Ices.

The event will feature a Safespaces4All health area which will be separate from the Pride Village and will be open until 8pm, providing a hub to raise any health-related matters.

The area will encompass a range of organisations from the NHS to fitness and holistic healing.

Some of these include Slough Children First, an NHS Bus, TVPS – BeYou, Adopt Thames Valley, Sacral Sisters and Berkshire NHS FT.

The Pride Village will feature more than 50 traders all ready to meet guests celebrating on the day.

Some of these include Brighter Futures Together, Cherry Pie designs, 124 Studios, Craft Coop, Sent With Pride, People2Places (ShopMobility), Safe Gigs for Women, Windsor Street Angels, Busy Buttons, This is me Dorset, the Royal Holloway LGBT+ Society and Support U.

Another highlight will be the premiere of a new film exploring LGBTQIA+ history, starring actor Ian McKellen.

Dragged Through Time is the brainchild of teenage director Jacob Franklin and explores why events throughout history matter in the modern world.

The film by youth-led drama company Notice Productions will premiere and be repeated for a second showing from the Cinema & Talks Stage, where a host of other activities will also take place.

Some of these will include yoga with Leanne, drag queen horrible histories, and the Windsor Castle Pug Yard.

Elsewhere, guests can enjoy some tunes in the Karaoke Lounge, supplied by KickDaBass, with an array of hosts throughout the day, including Poppy Powder and Alex Coles and Grace Anatomy.

KickDaBass will also be hosting a pride disco from 6pm to 7pm.

Tickets for the event have sold out, but there will be some tickets available at the gate on the day.
