Marlow schoolboy Ian Bremner, 14, got his first full set of bagpipes earlier in the year.

One of these areas was Winter Hill in Cookham Dean, where Ian could be heard on many an evening.

Marlow Community Association made £1,900 on the day.

2000: Paralympic swimmer Jeanette Chippington picked up one of the country’s most coveted awards to sit alongside her Games medals.
The sportswoman received a Blue Peter badge when she gave presenter Liz Barker an in-pool lesson.
