Slough RFC u7/8s and u9s final action of the season took place at the Twickenham Festival this week.
The young Greenies crossed the whitewash on plenty of occasions in a series of competitive clashes.
The u9s got off to a flyer against Harlequins, scoring in the opening minutes. Caleb Donohoe and Harvey Hitchings-Goswell added further tries but they were matched by Harelquins and the game ended in a draw. Slough failed to cross the try line against a strong touring team from Ipswich but bagged a try through Sky Randall in a tight game against Teddington.
Ali Minhas and Hayden Karize pulled the strings for Slough in their final match against hosts Twickenham while Donohoe and Hitchings-Goswell both touched down in their final match against Chiswick.
Coach Mary Blumbergs said: “The u9s had a great day of rugby, making lots of progress both as a team and as individuals.
“Our combined u7/8s team also had a great time, growing in confidence with every game and displaying some excellent tagging and passing skills. An enjoyable day all round and a great way to finish the season.”
