Farmers showcase decorated tractors during festive fundraiser

Tractors adorned with festive decorations were outside a pub in Littlewick Green to raise funds in memory of a much-loved Cookham man.

The event on Wednesday, December 3 was organised by Eunice Wilson, in tribute to her husband late Robert Wilson, who died in a crash on the M40 in June 2020.

It raised funds for The British Heart Foundation, a charity which was close to Robert’s heart.

More than 20 tractors festooned with Christmas lights, a snow machine and Santa on his sleigh, were parked up outside the Shire Horse pub.

There were a range of tractors on show, including vintage tractors from the 1950s and the latest SAM sprayer.

Eunice said: “A very big thank you to all the tractor drivers for attending and making their tractors look so festive.

“The children enjoyed getting up close and sitting in the tractors, a rare chance for many.

“The tractors were judged and the first prize was awarded to Phil and Sue Gunthurt for their festive tractor complete with a Christmas tree.

“Our thanks to the Shire Horse pub for hosting the event.”
