Desborough Bowls Club continued their impressive run in this seasons National Club Team Competitions, having swept aside local rivals Loddon Vale across all major events.
The club now prepares for a challenging set of next-round fixtures across various competitions.
In both the Denny Cup and the Egham Trophy they will face Atherley Bowls Club, while the Top Club team meets Chawton Park Bowls Club and the Yetton Trophy squad takes on Palmerston from the Isle of Wight.
In addition to the national competitions, the club have had friendly Triples and Rinks matches this week.
Desborough produced an excellent away result at Egham in a six rink triples match, securing a 109–94 victory.
The Maidenhead side recorded wins on three rinks and drew on one, with top rink honours going to Roy Palmer, Iain Bond and Kim Barao.
At the weekend Desborough hosted a strong Berkshire County side (BCIBA) and despite a hard-fought effort they were beaten 89-113, with their best winning rinks being skipped by Andrew Essex and (top rink) Paul Worthy.
In addition to the Team representative matches the club continues to look strong both individually and collectively in the National knockout competitions, as well as in their full internal league programmes catering for all abilities.
Desborough remain in good form overall and will look to carry this momentum into the next set of National Competition fixtures.
