A MAN in his eighties was knocked down while walking across a pedestrian crossing in Church Street, Caversham at about 5.20pm on Monday. The driver did not stop and fled the scene.

Appearing as a witness, the van driver who ran over 18-year-old Adam Bouaziz last year became distressed and left the court suddenly during his testimony.
