THAMES Valley Police has released CCTV images of a man officers want to speak to in connection with an assault investigation in Henley.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s, suffered a black eye and an injured finger after he intervened and stood up for another member of the public involved in a disagreement.
The Good Samaritan asked the man to leave the other person alone but was turned on and attacked.
Police said the assault took place between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Friday, November 14.

Investigating officer PC Selkirk said: “This incident has occurred when a man intervened in a disagreement, before he was turned on and assaulted.
“I am releasing this image of a man who I believe may have vital information that could assist this investigation.
“If this person is you, or you recognise who he is, I would ask you to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police, either by making a report online or by calling us on 101, quoting reference 43250583149.
“Witnesses can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
